The Story:
I Have Lived In Beaufort, North Carolina for 25 years, and Consider The Outer Banks My Home. The Cape Lookout Lighthouse Is My Diamond Lady, And All Who Spend Time Near Her Feel At Peace In Her Presence Whether Anchored Out Or On Her Beaches. For Years I Have Navigated The Backwaters To Be Near Her Whether To Fish, Clam or Just Enjoy The Serenity of Core Sound and The Atlantic Ocean.
This painting is inspired from one of my visits near Shackleford Banks. These herds are so special and as I watch through my binoculars, I feel blessed to be in their presence. This painting was inspired by these Wild Shackleford Banks Horses. The foal was surely being watch and protected.
