The Story:
After living full-time in Beaufort NC for 25 years, I have fallen in love with our town, its barrier islands, wild horses, the endless variety of boats which pass through our waterways, our local shrimp boats, our sea life, our bird life and Cape Lookout National Seashore.
I discovered Wooden Shrimp Boat 'Scarlett Marie' Up A Creek One Afternoon off the Newport River While Exploring The Coastal Waterways In My Skiff. As I Was Wandering Through The Marshy S-Turns, There She Was Resting At Dock. Instantly She Captured My Heart & My Paint Brush! Since Boats Are Frequently Named After Wives, Daughters & Beloved Family Members, I Wondered Who Scarlett Marie Might Be.
